I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
